So yesterday was my birthday.

One of the guys I work with bought me a breakfast sandwich. The good kind, on a bagel, with sausage and super yummy thick sliced cheese.

Another guy bought me lunch at Chik-fil-A. A chicken sandwich. Fries. Oh, and a big, thick chocolate milkshake.

My mother-in-law brought over cupcakes and ice cream bon-bons after Mike and I had our dinner of meat loaf and mashed potatoes.

All of these people were inordinately generous, and they have my thanks. I appreciate the food, really. REALLY. I'm very touched that everyone thought of me on my special day.

Now that it's over, I'd like them to knock it off.

  1. Happy belated birthday! I'm older than you :(

I hope you don't have leftovers! That's always hard to deal with--do you eat them because they're remnants of your birthday celebration, or do you chuck them because it's back to the dieting slog?
    (I always eat them).

  2. Happy late birthday!!! If there are left overs, send them home with people! :)

  3. Ugh - I have no excuse. I ate tacos tonight and a brownie. I feel the fat spilling over. Eww. (that eww is for myself) My problem is that I have zero self control. Zero. I do plan on going to the gym tomorrow (and sat and sun!). That should help.
